ST. AGATHA -- get involved
Our Parish needs each person to contribute their God give gifts. Time,
Talent, and Treasure are equally important to the success of our
mission. The LORD is calling each of us to give what we can.
Parish Legacy
You are needed to help our Parish grow and become more stable. Our goal
is to fulfill Parishioners’ needs, capitalize on all of our
talents, and create a simpler management. Our Diocese could be headed
for crisis if we do not act now. Fewer people are answering the call
to religious vocations, which will require us to provide our own Time,
Talent and Treasure. In 2005 we will have 107 Priests and Churches in
our Diocese. In 2007 we will only have 89 Priests with an average age
of 66 and still 107 Churches. How will we manage?
The Tapestry Plan
The Tapestry Plan will make it possible
to maintain and develop the spiritual and communal environment of the
Parish. The mission of the Tapestry Plan is to:
• Welcome new and old Parishioners
to
Sunday Liturgy
• Increase active participation at Liturgy
• Encourage involvement in various
ministries and volunteer opportunities
• Increase the amount and consistency of
your offertory contributions which
sustain the Parish infrastructure
-------------------------------------------------------
Our Tapestry Plan
Our goal will be to strengthen the fabric of St. Agatha Parish. Through
Participation in mass, sharing of knowledge, volunteering, and financial
contributions - our individual Parishioners are woven into a strong
and vital community of the faithful.
St. Agatha has so much to offer our
Catholic Communtiy. Please continue to stay involved in our Parish.
If you are not involved, please
consider becoming involved by calling 488-6149.
St. Agatha is a welcoming Catholic Christian
community dedicated to the spiritual growth of its members by living
the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We embrace education for all ages. We
strive to build the kingdom of God by joining in prayer, celebrating
the sacraments and serving those in need.

Time
St. Agatha’s numerous ministries create a network
of physical and spiritual support for our Parishioners. Many ministries
are apparent
during mass such as lectors, servers, cantors, ushers, and Eucharistic
ministers. Not all ministries are as visible, but are equally vital to
the life of the Parish. This includes sewing the Baptismal garments,
counting the weekly collection, providing food for bereavement luncheons
and participating in our prayer line. These programs are made possible
by Parishioners who are willing to give freely of their Time. Parishioners
like you are encouraged to volunteer.
Talent
How you choose to give of your Time and Talent is ultimately connected
to the reasons for being in this world- we are given time and Talent,
not only for our good, but for the good of others. Every member of
St. Agatha possesses unique skills and abilities. Our ministries
and committees success depends on the wealth of resources our Parishioners
can provide. What gifts and Talents do you bring to our community?
By becoming an active participant in our Parish, you help enrich the
Body of Christ.
Treasure
This plan is not an additional request for money. It is merely a more
systematic approach to handling our annual Parish Offertory Program
(POP), which is the Sunday offertory collection. The financial commitment
of Parishioners like you allows this Parish to proactively plan for
our future. To make things more convenient for our Parishioners we
offer several giving options.
• Automatic Withdrawal - easy for you, and
creates significant savings for the Parish
• Traditional Sunday Envelopes
• Personalized Giving Notices
Money pledged is responsible for operations of the church, upkeep of
buildings and grounds, Parish school and religious education, social
activities, Parish ministries, and social concerns.
